A Modern Romantic Wedding
at The Cardinal Room
Chloe reached out to us a couple months after her tasting with First Class Catering because she knew she needed help. Planning a wedding is stressful, especially from another state and with a partner in the Marines. But she did a truly stunning job. Their venue, The Cardinal Room, sits amongst the lush green of the Golf Club of Indiana. Their ceremony took place on the covered deck, looking out over the green. Followed by a cocktail hour on the patio, guests were able to watch golfers while enjoying drinks and shrimp ceviche. When it was time for dinner, guests were directed into the main space of The Cardinal Room, where a modern reception with hints of black, pink, and gold greeted them. A fun fact about Chloe, she absolutely hates greenery. So her florist, Vineyard Flower Co, used a plethora of buds, dusty pink roses, white sweet peas, blush ranunculus, and white peonies, to amp up the romantic atmosphere. Black tapers and napkins gave the space an edgy feel. For dinner, guests started with a preset individual charcuterie plate and fresh salad. The main course was two stations - a filet slider and roasted potatoes with a variety of dipping sauces and cacio e pepe finished off in a large wheel of parmesan cheese. My absolute favorite part of the night was their first dance as husband and wife. Dancing slowly to “Your Song” by Elton John, the bride and groom sang to each other the whole time. It was such an honor to be a part of their special day.
